This body of work “Fragments of Life” was inspired by the exploration of pure abstract expression using a limited colour palette and the use of heavy body and liquid acrylic paints along with pencil, conte, collage and charcoal. Taking these elements, the artist intertwines them with fragments of her everyday life, such as found collage papers, a photograph of interest, or a quote or lyrics to a pop song that has permeated her life that day. She integrates these ‘fragments’ into the paintings with the use of  layering, lines, marks, and points to produce the finished pieces that are a visual journey of discovery, layers and a journey for the viewer to explore.
